Quest for Ghostgirl & House Of A Half Dozen Horrors by Grillparzer's Quest

Your visit to your friend's grave does not result in the expected rendezvous: there is no trace of her spirit. What happened here last night? What do the people at Spirit Imprisoners Inc. have to do with her disappearance?
Sooner or later, your investigations lead you into the underworld, where you encounter a motley crew of demons and other hellish spawn—some more receptive than others to your quest for the deceased's soul.

Quest for Ghostgirl is a 2004 adventure game: ideally, the whole experience plays out like an interactive comic: the main focus is on interacting with quirky non-player characters and solving puzzles that require some lateral thinking. In terms of gameplay, it boils down to talking to everyone about everything and using the right item in the right place.

Random Fact: Grillparzer's Quest is a german developer, so most games like Grillparzer´s Quest - Tödlicher Albtraum (Deadly Nightmare) are available only in german. However there is another Rpgmaker 2000 adventure game that was released in english, House Of A Half Dozen Horrors. See below for this extra!

Final Verdict: this is a classic point-and-click adventure but the peculiar visuals and art style make it stand out. It's surely a pretty unique game. Simple, but entertaining if you like the genre.

EXTRA - House Of A Half Dozen Horrors: a dilapidated wooden shack in the middle of nowhere. An Austrian national poet, in the wrong place at the wrong time. A panther hunting him down. These are the ingredients for Franz Grillparzer’s latest action-adventure in the "House of Half-a-Dozen Horrors." Join this lovable curmudgeon as he uses spit and elbow grease to wriggle out of the stickiest situations—saving the world or reducing it to rubble and ashes, depending on the player's choices.
