There was a war between good and evil, and the legion of the Astarian
Templars was able to overcome the demons. Humanity survived, while the
demons were banished, and the Astarian Priests created a magical item
called... the BLOOD AEGIS, a magical living shield able to divide the
demons and the Material Realms for good. But after 500 years there are
rumors of the return of the demons, and something sinister is happening
in Old Haven.
Enter a couple of Astarian Templars, the wise experienced Admir and the brave young Amisha. Amisha is from Old Haven, and she is worried about her hometown. The voyage will be uneventful, but once they arrive there they will learn that evil has returned.

Blood Aegis is a first episode that was surely going to be the first part of a dark fantasy saga centered about finding the legendary Blood Aegis and use it to save the world from the demonic invasion. I cannot really define this a demo, since it have an ending, or to be precise, two.
This game includes a couple of dungeons and is centered about investigating the evil that infested Old Haven, the nearby forest, caves and ruins. The game includes many battles and a couple of puzzles, a single merchant and few locations to visit, but the dark atmosphere is really well realized.
Random Fact: the intro sequence that you can see above is a cool cutscene and a dialogue between the two protagonists that seems
lifted directly from Finding Forever Eden, since it uses the same background and style, see below the comparison:
Another interesting thing is the ending: there are two that are really similar, but only one of them will make the two heroes defeat the real evil that cursed the land, the other instead will just make them defeat some minor henchmen and will leave them slightly unsatisfied and uncertain, but then the epilogue will play in the same way, it just changes the final boss and some lines of dialogues. The only issue I have with this choice is that you can get one ending on the other depending on which direction you will take at a certain point, but there is NO indication that one will lead to a better outcome.
Final Verdict: I must say that Blood Aegis was a little more glitchy than I expected, still it's not terrible, even if it is clear that the final part
was pretty much rushed. But if this was the first game of the developer,
well it wasn't too bad, I just wished it was fleshed a bit more, with
more maps, weapons and story. This is still a decent prototype for
those who like playing old classic rm2k3 adventure game.
