Story of the Earth and Star starts with the tale of an unnamed hero
fighting against a dark organization called Shadow Wing... however this
will turn out to be just a dream of a young prince, our protagonist (whose name is chosen by the player). He
lives inside a castle and he's pretty bored by his pampered life so he
asks his bodyguard Lance to sneak out and visit the nearby town, and
this will lead to an interesting encounter...
Story of the Earth and Star is a classical story-driven adventure with enemies that in some cases may be avoided, boss battles, dungeons and lots of dialogues. The story is linear but enjoyable. The game uses many rips and some edits, and is one of the few Rpgmaker 2000 games to use a side view battle system with animated attacks.
Random Fact: the player can decide the name of each party member before recruiting him or her. However there is a character that is encountered before and joins as a temporary party member. And in this battle the name Cecilia is displayed, even if there is no way for the protagonist know that, and the player still choose to give her another name later.
Final Verict: a pretty old and probably not very famous game, it's still and enjoyable old-styled experience, it was pretty good at the time of its release.
