Everlasting Journey by Pepsiotaku

You are Sparrow. You've just been fired from your job for poor performance and your life is going nowhere, when you are greeted one day by a girl. Not a mysterious girl, just a girl. She needs help and by chance has found you. Knowing that this will lead to much bigger and greater things, you play along and eventually get sucked into the biggest adventure of your life!

Along the way you'll meet plenty of savory characters that are happy to travel the world with you in hopes of being something greater. As a team you will stop a fiendish plot set forth by your new rival: the insane, and evil PAUL. It will be a race against time to save the world from the clutches of evil! Can you and your team of adventurers do it all in time? Play EVERLASTING JOURNEY to find out.

Everlasting Journey is an epic and humorous fantasy adventure, that's also a real journey, and this means that it consists in a series of connected episodes that are pretty much linear, being a an on-the-road adventure. During the joutney Sparrow will meet lots of friends and foes, but besides exploration and battles you may expect minigames, puzzles, action sequences, card games, and the option to get drunk at the tavern. The game uses mostly the usual rpgmaker assets and the occasional edit and custom sprite, but mapping is extremely well done with attention to the details.

Random Fact: Sparrow is a drunkard, and this is seen from the very first scenes. The developer added a a "drunk system" to represent the dizziness of being intoxicated, but surprisingly this wasn't the first time this has ben done: in fact Pepsiotaku originally made the drunk system, with the same interface, for the collaborative game Alex III that was posted previously. In that game Alex at the casino can become drunk exactly like Sparrow in Everlasting Journey.

Final Verdict: despite the occasional bit of frustrating gameplay or imprecision (typos for example in Firam King dialogue or Phillip listed to be able to use swords that are instead used by Sparrow, for example) Everlasting Journey is a fantastic game full of memorable characters, cool treasures, immersive towns and countries, a funny, adventurous storyline, and a number of movie references and RPG cliches as well!
