Epic Elf 2 by Spirit Young

Dagree is back and ready for another chapter in his life! He was cursed by the "Red Evil" from his visit to Vitality Island. Though destroyed, Red Evil isn't gone! In fact, he sometimes appears before Dagree and offers to help him now. After living in a cave for a year, Dagree decides it's about time to finally get outside and land a job!
And of course, a new evil haunts the land that must be punished! Oh, yeah!

Epic Elf 2 is much more than an upgraded version of the first game: it features a series of areas, towns, forests, plains, a desert and so on, a small world but one full of details and also dynamic, since the roaming encounters will change and some areas will be revisited due to some... changes that will happen (cannot say more). In the beginning there are some roadblocks (such as giant boulders in the middle of the road) that will have to be removed, initially limiting the exploration to some locations.
Combat this time happens only on touch with roaming opponents, except for the mandatory boss battles.

Random Fact: once again the game is available in regular version or the 2017 that fixed and rebalances some battles, unfortunately it doesn't add new content, and that's a pity since some material originally planned was cut from the game. For example Hex. a character of the first game, was originally planned to be a party member in this game too. But unfortunately it didn't happen.

Final Verdict: Epic Elf 2 is a classic, and as I wrote in the review of the first game, my favourite in the series. The only thing I did NOT like is the rarity of the save points (or maybe more playable characters, since Hex from Epic Elf 1 was also planned to play a role in the party of this game), anyway there isn't anything else I can criticize, because this is a really epic and fun game. Mapping is excellent and the setting is full of life and surprises. In a word, it's FUN.

Epic Elf by Spirit Young

In this quest you play as a Dark Elf named Dagree. He's a simple treasure hunter who is normally feared by humans. For some reason, the citizens of Vitality Island aren't scared of him except for the naughty Royal Family. Along the way you can make choices in the game that determine what side character you'll end up with.

The story itself is easy to follow and doesn't really need to be serious.
Most of the characters that you talk to probably rode on the short bus.

Other main characters come into the play as well. If you join up with the wizard he'll have his own problems that come into light during the quest for you. If you kill the wizard you get a thief to replace the loss. If you don't talk to everyone, future quests won't become available and you'll miss out on items, weapons, or hidden bosses. There are also abilities that your characters can learn (pushing stones, raiding houses).

Epic Elf is a really epic adventure of 10 hours that will take the dark elf Dagree from rags to riches. Or so is the intent: the game isn't some epic quest to save the world, but rather the exploration of a large isle that hold a great treasure. Of course a dark elf like Dagree isn't liked by humans, however, starting with his trusty slime Drip, he will have to form a party of adventures, collect equipment and start exploring dungeons. The story has a goofy tone and it's a parody of the more serious jrpgs.

The game is a pretty classic adventure that uses RTPs and the usual Rpgmaker combat system, although maps are really well done. Enemies are both fought in random encounters and in touch encounter, depending on the map. Speaking about maps, the world map is pretty compact, but it will be necesssary to open some roadblocks to progress in the adventure.

Random Fact: the game was completed in 2012, and that version is still available, but in 2013 a new version was added, with more sidequests, bosses, secret items and even a different ending.

Final Verdict: Epic Elf may be an old game with pretty generic visuals, but it was really done with attention to the details and the particular care typical of some games that look like something bland and generic due to the use of the old RTPs, but they hide some real fun! Another example of this is Everlasting Journey, so do not let the lack of original assets deceive you, because this is an entertaining game of exploration, humor... and also battles, even if this is maybe the aspect that probably could have been perfected (well it's an old game made with an old engine, ok?), anyway I did not mind. This is without doubt a well done classic rpgmaker adventure!

Tierra Azul by Riko

Prohesia is a world protected by the goddess Rubi, but not everything goes well: King Richard sends one of his men, Sir Edward, to investigate the presence of an enemy patrol of the Iriad Army at the nearby Medusa's Caves. But Edward once he arrives to the place he finds the enemy soldiers massacred, and suddenly he's ambushed by a mysterious creature.

Meanwhile Rico joins a friend to help him completing an errand for the sage Krilos, and all goes well… until they go back to town! Here they find that their friends and relatives mysteriously disappeared and their village is empty. So they decide to leave through the forest to search for the missing townsfolk...

Despite the title in spanish and the subtitle in latin, this very old game is instead in english, and it's a pretty long demo of fantasy adventure. Here you can find numerous battlers, puzzles, mazes and other challenges, but our protagonist will also find numerous allies in his adventures. And old game that offers a classic gameplay, nothing more and nothing less, however I must admit that the plot is pretty unusual and interesting.

Random Fact: it's not a coincidence that the protagonist is called Rico, when the developer is named Riko! Anyway most of the time the developers use the same name when they make a self-insert.

Final Verdict: this is a very old game, so do not expect something original or new, it's pretty classic fantasy Rpgmaker game, but well done, and despite being a demo it offers a lot of content, for example all the world map is complete, so it's possible to travel a lot, even if not every location was completed. Mapping isn't too bad but in my opinion it was the weakest aspect of the game. The rest is pretty good.

Ateria - Kontinent der Schatten by Xargoth (german)

An attack by a horde of vampires sweeps across the island in the great sea of Gaiana, nearly wiping out its entire population. Young Charon survives thanks to his combat skills and the training his father gave him from childhood.
He finds his father gravely wounded on the battlefield and receives a small key from him before the man ultimately succumbs to his injuries. The key leads Charon to the cellar of his own home, revealing the entrance to a small room. Inside, he discovers a modified pistol and a valuable elemental sword. He also finds a strange mirror. It turns out that a demon named Dagon is trapped within it; the demon immediately proposes a deal: Charon will gain a portion of its powers if he uses them to kill the vampires. Driven by a desire for revenge against the creatures responsible for his family's death, he accepts the offer.

Ateria - Continent of Shadows is a Rpgmaker horror game demo created by Xorgoth: the game is basically amystery horror adventure with a single character, a vampire hunter. It features some custom activities and original gameplay elements like climbing, a custom made combat system that lets the player switch between gun and sword, anyway the additions are still rather simple and do not overwhelm the player. The graphics use edited REFMAP assets and there is a lot of attention to light, shadows and atmospherical effects.

Random Fact: although the game includes a monster encyclopedia that can reveal the strength and weaknesses of the opponents, mind that it can be only consulted when in town and not while travelling! A bit odd choice anyway.

Final Verdict: despite the short playtime, Ateria is impressive as an high quality game with great use of lightning, good mapping, many poses, sprites ans features like climbing, monster encyclopedia, slot machines, and more. There are two only issues: the first is that you will often have to travel through the forest and that's becomes boring, there isn't a lot of story, since you are just a vampire hunter hunting vampires! That's it! Anyway it's an excellent demo, and very unique adventure, considering it was released in 2008 it was certainly one of the best games of the time. It's a pity this was never completed.

Tale of Exile - Act 1 by Lastturn

In this game the protagonist is Adam, the mercenary called Black Claw, a bounty hunter that is quite skilled but not a veteran yet: the game starts shortly after he kills an assassins and captures his accomplice. Wandering the city the hero will find some optional quests, card games and find himself in a series of different situations. Meanwhile the heir to the throne, Prince Antonius receives the "Great Initiation" after the mysterious death of the Queen...

Tale of Exile is a low-fantasy gritty adventure that gives a lot of freedom to the player: the city is fully explorable and there are many secondary quests, for example it's possible, but not obligatory, to try to defend an innocent in a trial, a quest that may be completed succesfully or failed. Then it's possible to explore various areas, solve puzzles and fight enemies in a turn-based custom system. The game uses in fact lots of custom made menus and systems, that sometimes are a bit clunky but quite impressive anyway, and the diary is pretty handy to remember what you are supposed to do and where you are supposed to go.

Random Fact: this game was originally made in Polish since the developer is from Poland, however it was released in both English and Polish. The game was originally planned in four acts, but unfortunately only the first was completed.

Final Verdict: far from perfect, but REALLY FAR from bad, Tale of Exile is a wonderful experience. Despite the inventory choices, the diary is really useful to understand what you have to do, and it's impossible losing the thread. The game does not hold your hand and rewards exploration, in this sense it's more of a typical fantasy western rpg (I mean not "oriental Jrpg", not that he has cowboys!). I also liked many references and easter eggs here and there (for example the art gallery hosts pictured by an artist that's clearly a reference to Andy Warhol) and the high level of detail and accuracy of the world, that cleary required a lot of work and effort.
So this was Tale of Exile. The usual question is: did I had fun? Well, yes, a lot.
Despite the flaws (in my opinion due to the bold experiment to make something akin to a sort of fantasy Fallout rpg) the game is immersive, enjoyable and looks good too.

Despoina by PianoTm & Lavendersiren

Welcome to the land of Nepherenos, where those gifted in the study of magic are somehow both valued and exploited for their talents. Enter Poah, a knight sent to fetch a briefly incarcerated wizard by the name of Seulk. Supposedly the queen of this land had sent a summons for all mages to travel to the capital: Sitan City, and Poah is carrying out the escort mission for this particular one.

Who can you trust in this world when everyone vies for the power of a spellcaster at their side? What does the queen need with every mage in the land anyways? And is Poah even really who he says he is?
There's only one way to find out!

Despoina is a classic rpg adventure: we visit various locations, roam the world map and travel through the world to reach the final destination and uncover the mystery of the request of the queen. It's a simple and pretty linear journey, but there are enough "extra details" that makes the game, and I mean strange characters, weird epitaphs and other funny things and interactions, plus few optional locations. For the rest it's a classical rpg adventure with many avoidable battles and some obligatory bossfights.
The game also uses Kentona's caterpillar system, meaning that the party members aren't represented by a single party member, but will walk one behind the other.

Random Fact: this game was made for the 2022 Swap in 3 Middle with You event at RMK.net, first half by Pianotm, and the other half by lavendersiren.

Final Verdict: Despoina is a cool game despite some imprecisions (such as some badly contourned potraits and empty areas that in any case have nothing to do with the story and are just some extra places that could probably not exist) probably due to the lack of time for refinement the game is good, and the story is interesting. As mentioned before the beginning and the end were especially great, the middle half is enough, but still it made me play until the very end to see what was going to happen to our two heroes. So in the end for me this was a good game, despite the limitations imposed by the event.

Le Dernier des Xanten by Sill Valt (french)

The Last of the Xanten follows the journey of Siegfried, son of Siegmund, the sole descendant of the Xanten line. The story begins as he returns to his old family castle, accompanied by Mime and his dog.
However once he arrives there he discovers that someone invaded his lands, a mysterious man followed by some orcs. At first Siegfried is surprised and captured, but he escapes thanks to Mime...

The first game from Sill Valt, the renowned creator of Croix Célestes and, more notably, Omega Cerberus, two really very well done demos that earned some awards, that have been posted here before. Anyway the first game from this author was Le dernier des Xanten, a fantasy adventure. The demo is abut 1 hour long, and it's a classic dungeon delving adventure with random encounters and bosses, but done pretty well.

The 0.7 demo is the most advanced and features the famous isometric view later used in Croix Célestes, but the 0.2 demo featured custom speech bubbles, reminiscent of the comic book world so dear to the author.

Random Fact: while the story seems to be original, the name of the main characters seems to be inspired by the ancient Germanic and Nordic epics: there is Siegfried, Mime, Siegmund, Fafner, Brünnhilde... anyway their roles are completely changed, this is a fantasy adventure that's not based on Richard Wagner's cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen.

Final Verdict: probably not the best the game by Sill Valt, but still an excellent demo, with a really impressive intro and some well made maps, even if it's not as popular as the other games.

Flesh by Kainworks

Alma is a desolate fantasy world whose lands were devastated by mages: the once fertile  countries were replaced by deserts and poisoned swamps dotted by ruins of the past civilization, where the few human survivors live in small villages trying to scavenge what they can find and escape from the monsters and demons that hunt them.
The protagonist is Neux, a mage who begins on a path to learn the secrets of necromancy. Journey through the broken world of Alma as you search for the powers locked within the human body.

Flesh is a short open world adventure game with an interesting aspect: we play as a solitary characters, Neux, that is not only is capable of magic, but he can summon undead versions of the enemies defeated to help him in battle. Sometimes these creatures possess abilities needed to overcome some challenges. There is no experience, nor levels, however winning combat encounters is useful to earn money for consumables and sand, the materiale used to summon creatures. Tonics are also used to recover mana, useful to cast attack spells, and there are powerful relics that can be found to obrain permanent upgrades.

Random Fact: the game was created for the 2018’s “A Game By Its Cover” event held on itch.io. The idea behind this game jam was to pick up a fictional cover made for the “My Famicase Exhibition” hosted by Super Meteor in Japan and turn it into a game/project. The source of inspiration was the “Flesh” cover, made by Kleinman XOXO.

Final Verdict: Flesh is a unique game: the concept reminds to me of the Geneforge videogame series (an old series of rpgs set in a weird fantasy setting in which you played as a sort of lone wizard that could summon creatures and explore a decadent world).

The game will be probably be really difficult in the beginning, when the player has no idea of how the things work and he doesn't know the map and what he is supposed to do... but later once mastered the few skills and learned how to survive (I admit that I never fought and killed those demons that regenerate healing themselves, but there is no need to do that!), after the first half, game becomes quite easier and the objectives are clear. Even the final combat isn't that difficult if you come prepared, and for prepared I don't mean that you need lots of potions (I had zero!), just that you possess a good number of strong summonable allies. I also loved the ending even if it's a bit short.

Sinfonia & Ruptured Souls by Legion aka Max McGee

Reg Fontaine is a troubled young man that has an appointment with a psychologist... things start quiet that evening, but suddenly everything becomes strange and dark. Is this all true or these are just hallucinations?

Sinfonia or Backstage 3: Electric Boogaloo is a mini-scenario linked to the Backstage series (some characters of the previous games are mentioned and another is seen in a cutscene), it's little more than an intro situation (made in 4 hours by Max McGee) released for an event, that ends leaving just some hints about what's going to happen next. Good music and great atmosphere, as usual.

Random Fact: some maps of Sinfonia were reused for Ruptured Souls, another short horror prologue, this time for an unfinished game. Since Sinfonia is very short, here's also the derived game, that you will find it below as an extra.

Final Verdict: Sinfonia is like one of these gourmet dishes that are really a small quantity but they're so good! Both aestetically and also in terms of substance. Still they are never enough for a complete meal and that makes me sad. Anyway great job with this setting and mapping, the atmosphere is dark and powerful, I also liked the little details like the animation of the protagonist smoking in the beginning. All is really done in a professional way with great attention to the details. Pity there is no game here... still better than a bad game, I guess!

EXTRA - Ruptured Souls (demo): you are Mason Lansdale, an American private detective investigating the disappearance of a 17 year old girl named Kyra Leighton. The case has taken you all the way to London, England, to investigate a private medical research think tank called Wingate Medical that has recently requested the records of Kyra and 4 other girls just like her who disappeared.
At first, Lansdale is concerned primarily with breaking into Wingate to find evidence that will make the case, but as the night goes on the situation quickly evolves into something far more sinister, and terrifying and your primary goal becomes survival.

In the end, the most potent and relevant weapon you have is your wits.

Ruptured Souls is basically an adventure game where you have to be caregul since a wrong move can lead to the protagonist's demise. The final parts becomes a sort of choose-yout-own-adventure segment, but unfortunatly it ends with a "to be continued" leaving a mystery about who or what is pursuing Mason.

Random Fact: unlike the Backstage series, that is a supernatural kind of horror inspired by Silent Hill, Ruptured Souls is instead a non-supernatural horror game that was inspired by the Resident Evil series. But no, it's not a zombie game, more like a thriller adventure, but there is a symbol very similar to the Umbrella Corporation logo. Not a coincidece, of course.

Final Verdict: another demo from Mac McGee that shows a lot of potential. It's good, and it's peculiar how the game starts like Sinfonia, with the protagonist smoking a cigarette, and ends with the image of a building that the protagonist of Sinfonia enters at the end of that game! Oh yes, this little demo is so full of details and other little things if you care to explore and interact that I was impressed. A very interesting demo with a great atmosphere, in my opinion!

Backstage & Backstage II by Legion aka Max McGee

Tom Keller is an average enough guy, although one badly down on his luck. On the evening this nightmare begins, he's coming home from a fancy dinner with his wife, at a nice restaurant- where she took him to tell him she was leaving him, and where he still picked up the check. She's kicked him out of the house and had the locks changed, and he's had quite a bit to drink after dinner, and wants nothing more than to call her and give her the piece of his mind. He's already checked into a seedy hotel down town, where he plans to sleep it off after making a phone call. However, he is about to step through to the other side of a mirror that will warp and destroy everything he thought he knew about his life.

Tom Keller is lost. He has gone astray, and become trapped in a nightmare world that is a twisted mirror image of our own, tormented by horrific abberations, haunted by shattered memories. He is alone behind the world, and to escape, he must come to terms with all of his sins.

Backstage is a 3 hours and a half survival horror Rpgmaker game,  whose gameplay consists in exploring dark urban locations looking for useful items like flashlight and keys, avoiding traps and solving puzzles. This isn't an rpg, of course, but there are still battles and they happen in real time, bit these are a little weird since you have to avoid the enemy proyectiles and collide with the opponent so Tom will use the equipped weapon, even if it's a gun. Anyway aside for the obligatory bosses (like the lich) there is no incentive to fight everyone.
The game has more than one ending.

Random Fact: the game had a sequel planned but only the prologues for the two protagonists of this game were released. In fact this time the game had two different playable protagonists, but the gameplay remained the same of the first game. Anyway see below for this short demo.

Final Verdict: Backstage isn't a bad game at all (despite some flaws and imprecisions but few games are without them), on the contrary I found it really inspired and an interesting adventure to play. Well I admit that I did not try to find every single ending, nor I played it more than once except if after a while (when I forgot some details). The story is absolutely the best part of the game. Maybe not the beginning, but as the adventure unfolds it becomes really intriguing, especially after the first half. I was in fact constantly doubting about everything: is Tom really an ordinary guy? Has he already met Alice before eve if he doesn't remember that? Do the monsters really exists or is Tom hallucinating? Who knows!
I liked a lot the Revenge ending, and even if it's probably not a game for everyone, if a player is fond of dark and horror rpgmaker games he/she should play this one at least once (puzzles aren't that difficult, and it's impossible to get stuck). Not the best game by Max McGee, but still a good one.

EXTRA - Backstage II (demo): in this game you have to choose between Racheal the Prodigal or Tim the Prophet, anyway their separate paths are going to cross at a monastery.
One thing about the two protagonists: the Prophet's adventure is a bit more interesting because it has a sort of prediction about what will happen next (well... he's a *prophet*!) while the poor Racheal is instead thrust inside a difficult situation without many explanations.

Backstage II is a game that aimed at improving what was done with the first game, offering better maps, better assets, two protagonists, but a similar gamemplay. Both prologues are pretty short (15 minutes each more or less, for a total of 30 minutes, 10 of actual gameplay and 20 of dialogues) and give just little informations about what was going to happen next, but at least mapping is much better than in the first game.

Random Fact: the demo of Backstage II wasn't the end of the series. Despite being unfinished there was a last tale related to the setting and the mysterious entity know as Mask. But this is another game for another time. Very soon.

Final Verdict: it's really a pity that Backstage II was cancelled because all aspects hinted that this was going to be a better game than the previous one, and I liked Backstage, it was a pretty good horror adventure, even if there were some parts that could have been better, of course. And Backstage II was really going to improve and correct all the parts that weren't exactly good, and improve those that were good. Mapping, story, gameplay... all here looks better, pity that this is just a short introduction to another adventure in a dark world of horror. But still better than nothing, I guess!!!

The Lord of the Rings by BongHenry

This is a complete rpg adaptation of the masterpiece written by JRR Tolkien and directed by Peter Jackson. Primarily based on the movies in terms of script, music, and visuals, but with additional material from the books, as well as original content. Join Frodo, Gandalf, Aragorn, and many more in their quest to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom and end the threat of the Dark Lord Sauron once and for all. Delve deep into the Mines of Moria, defend Helm’s Deep from Saruman’s Uruk-hai army, and explore the toxic wasteland of Mordor.

The Lord of the Rings is a fantastic complete adaptation of the classic fantasy Middle Earth story: the game is clearly a story driven adventure that follows closesly the events of the movies and of the book (for example it includes Tom Bombadil, that was removed in the movie adaptation), let us play as more than fifteen characters and features exploration, battles an minigames, but also some uncommon additions such as combo-skills, bribery skill and disguises. The game also includes some optional extra scenarios and locations, that can provide extra loot and experience for the characters. The assets used are both taken directly from the movies and arts related to the game,  but there are also ripped sprites from other games, classic RTPs plus edits.

Random Fact: the author of this game seems to be also known as skunkardump or Jason Bystead.

Final Verdict: and excellent adaptation and a really well done and enjoyable adventure. Its only limit is that the game is a bit rough in some areas, and it's sometimes not so easy to understand where you are supposed to go, anyway this is still a well done adaptation, the various maps (more than 300) are mostly well done and atmospheric, there are lots of well made cutscenes and it really is a must play for anyone who liked the book and the movies. Recommended.

Axis Saga - The Angelic Demon by unknown

Keros and his sister Rasya were in the town of Lumina when they received a letter from their mother to come home. She requires them to get some supplies, but this will be just the beginning of a great adventure for the two siblings.

Meanwhile Rasya is having some strange dreams about a mysterious hooded swordsman that may be linked to her past...

Axis Saga is a classic rpgmaker fantasy rpg: after an intro that is about a series of characters we'll encounter during the game, the adventure starts with the two siblings travelling. This first part is probably the hardest, since some enemies are difficult to avoid and the two young heroes aren't exactly tough. After surviving this brutal starting part, things will become a little easier. The game uses resources from various sources, but these are used competently. On the other hand the game is a little buggy in some parts.

Random Fact: Shift key changes the movement speed. The 1 key is instead used to jump in some areas.
Also, if anyone knows who is the author of this game please tell me so I can credit the developer.

Final Verdict: another fantasy demo that wasn't completed, and sadly one whose developer is unknown at least for now.

Everlasting Journey by Pepsiotaku

You are Sparrow. You've just been fired from your job for poor performance and your life is going nowhere, when you are greeted one day by a girl. Not a mysterious girl, just a girl. She needs help and by chance has found you. Knowing that this will lead to much bigger and greater things, you play along and eventually get sucked into the biggest adventure of your life!

Along the way you'll meet plenty of savory characters that are happy to travel the world with you in hopes of being something greater. As a team you will stop a fiendish plot set forth by your new rival: the insane, and evil PAUL. It will be a race against time to save the world from the clutches of evil! Can you and your team of adventurers do it all in time? Play EVERLASTING JOURNEY to find out.

Everlasting Journey is an epic and humorous fantasy adventure, that's also a real journey, and this means that it consists in a series of connected episodes that are pretty much linear, being a an on-the-road adventure. During the joutney Sparrow will meet lots of friends and foes, but besides exploration and battles you may expect minigames, puzzles, action sequences, card games, and the option to get drunk at the tavern. The game uses mostly the usual rpgmaker assets and the occasional edit and custom sprite, but mapping is extremely well done with attention to the details.

Random Fact: Sparrow is a drunkard, and this is seen from the very first scenes. The developer added a a "drunk system" to represent the dizziness of being intoxicated, but surprisingly this wasn't the first time this has ben done: in fact Pepsiotaku originally made the drunk system, with the same interface, for the collaborative game Alex III that was posted previously. In that game Alex at the casino can become drunk exactly like Sparrow in Everlasting Journey.

Final Verdict: despite the occasional bit of frustrating gameplay or imprecision (typos for example in Firam King dialogue or Phillip listed to be able to use swords that are instead used by Sparrow, for example) Everlasting Journey is a fantastic game full of memorable characters, cool treasures, immersive towns and countries, a funny, adventurous storyline, and a number of movie references and RPG cliches as well!

Quest for Ghostgirl & House Of A Half Dozen Horrors by Grillparzer's Quest

Your visit to your friend's grave does not result in the expected rendezvous: there is no trace of her spirit. What happened here last night? What do the people at Spirit Imprisoners Inc. have to do with her disappearance?
Sooner or later, your investigations lead you into the underworld, where you encounter a motley crew of demons and other hellish spawn—some more receptive than others to your quest for the deceased's soul.

Quest for Ghostgirl is a 2004 adventure game: ideally, the whole experience plays out like an interactive comic: the main focus is on interacting with quirky non-player characters and solving puzzles that require some lateral thinking. In terms of gameplay, it boils down to talking to everyone about everything and using the right item in the right place.

Random Fact: Grillparzer's Quest is a german developer, so most games like Grillparzer´s Quest - Tödlicher Albtraum (Deadly Nightmare) are available only in german. However there is another Rpgmaker 2000 adventure game that was released in english, House Of A Half Dozen Horrors. See below for this extra!

Final Verdict: this is a classic point-and-click adventure but the peculiar visuals and art style make it stand out. It's surely a pretty unique game. Simple, but entertaining if you like the genre.

EXTRA - House Of A Half Dozen Horrors: a dilapidated wooden shack in the middle of nowhere. An Austrian national poet, in the wrong place at the wrong time. A panther hunting him down. These are the ingredients for Franz Grillparzer’s latest action-adventure in the "House of Half-a-Dozen Horrors." Join this lovable curmudgeon as he uses spit and elbow grease to wriggle out of the stickiest situations—saving the world or reducing it to rubble and ashes, depending on the player's choices.
