The game starts with the young Delita training with his grandpa in Riggito Village, showing great skill with a blade. After several years Delita is the assistant leader of the Royal Knights of Terninong, that one day resigns and returns home. Here his grandpa reveals that Delita is a descendent of the Ky, a powerful race of humanoids that opposed the weaker humans several years in the past.
After Delita leaves Riggito Village, the whole place is obliterated by a mysterious figure that wants Delita dead. Tentari, a former Royal Knight, joins Delita in his quest to find who is behind the attack.
Dream Star is a pretty short two-chapters linear demo with the typical random encounter and battle system, however mapping was not too bad, especially for some interiors,and some custom made animation and sprites were nice. Unfortunately the story never really goes anywhere since we never reach Tentari's informer that should shed some light over the mysterious attacks to Riggito and Terninong. What a pity.
Random Fact: while the title screen is an edited backround, the same used by The Kyrent Project by Psygon, while the music is "Fable", the 1996 song by Italian musician Robert Miles, and like "Children", the single received universal acclaim.
