Leo and Leah have been close since they were newborn cubs. But now
they've been separated and, with the guidance of you and the mystical
help called Charlie Darwin and his "pet" Daisy, Leo must use all his
survival skills to get her back! A tale of love, loyalty and lionhood!
If you played A Home Far Awaythat I posted before, you may know what you can expect from this game: lots of adventures, minigames, and some classic rpgmaker battles too, but especially a lighthearted adventure with many weird likeable characters. This game is especially colorful and charming, its visuals are memorable as they make use of many different sprites, and the final result is impressive.
This was the RMN.net featured game in March 2011.
Random Fact:
this can be considered Strangeluv's masterpiece, and it's peculiar how
many elements are taken from games released before: some monsters and their spries from Wyesse, a minigame and
interface from Spike Lee's The Twilight Zone, the lighthearted adventure
style and concept of A Home Far Away (whose pirates are the same ones
from that game!)
Final Verdict: Leo & Leah, despite some really minor flaws and a gameplay that
still has a lot in common with many other rpgmaker games, is a cool
adventure that will keep you entertained for 6-7 hours. Even if
sometimes the secondary characters almost outshine the real protagonists
of the story, I found it to be a really charming adventure and
carefully crafted world and story. Very very good.
