Vanilla is timid, slow and forgetful and is part of a group of friends called the Ice Cream Kids, that includes him, Cherry, Banana, Strawberry and Chocolate. The friends need some stuff for an event Vanilla forgot about, so they send him on an errand to town. This will lead to a series of little fetch quests meeting pleasant and unpleasant people.
With Sprinkles is a lighthearted 30 minutes interactive visual novel adventure that's little more than a walking simulator: do not expect battles, puzzles or anything complex, probably the most peculiar aspects are the custom graphics and portraits of the colorful characters and world in which our forgetful hero moves. There are lots of tiny details and animations, for a very short story.
Random Fact: With Sprinkles was an originally a webcomic the author planned out back in 2011 (only a single page was made), then in 2014 it became instead this short game about the Ice Cream Kids.
Final Verdict: this is a very minimalistic game. The custom art is simple but nice and colorful, the music is wonderful: especially the town music with its Japanese vocals is extremely uplifting, catching and cute. The only issue are some spelling errors and the unappealing striped dialogue boxes, for the rest it's a pretty nice game.
