The game starts with a prologue: Chris is hiding alone, saying he has betrayed his friends, explaining how his boring life was turned upside down and he went from citizen to hunted criminal.
Then the prologue ends and the game starts with a flashback: several days before in a futuristic New York City, where Chris is going to pick up a childhood friend at the airport. From this normal scenes a series of situations and unfortunate events will make him face various enemies, his ex-girlfriend, soldiers and even vampires!
Razor reminds of A Blurred Line for several aspects: the setting is a futuristic cyberpunk world where the protagonist is a normal person that finds out to be hunted by the law, both start with a prologue followed by a flashback, both have adventures set inside a virtual world, and in both there are some choices that may lead to different paths and a different party composition: there are in fact some possible temporary allies and options, however being a demo it's not sure that every option was implemented. The maps are not the strong point and most music consists in midi versions of popular 80s-90s pop and rock songs, but for the rest it's a nice game, that includes few minigames and an interesting story.
Random Fact: the previous version of the game was called Razorblade Symphony and was released one year before this one, I will post here too, since it's basically another version of the same game.
Final Verdict: the game has a pretty interesting story and concept, unfortunately battles are for the most part a chore since enemies are often pretty strong the they outnumber our Chris, that's often alone and has no other attacks besides his rusty knives. Moreover food items can be used to heal only before or after combat, not during it. Anyway for the rest it's a pretty cool demo.
