Archtross: The worst colony in the universe by Skurge

The year is 3020: after a great war a colony called Archtross was created as a neutral ground. But this place of trade at the center of the Galaxy soon became a place of crime and corruption. Axle is a gunman that works for the boss of Vincorp, Mr. Vincent, and he is coming back after some time spent abroad after a great conflict with the Volkorik Syndicate. Now he returns to join his old partner, a punk girl named Cass. The two will perform a series of missions to eradicate the other gangs, Spiablos and Volkorik Syndicate, from the Vincorp territories.

Archtross is basically what you would expect from a Gta rpg: Walking around exploring, fighting gangsters and look for the occasional quest item. The story is linear, although you may revisit old locations to buy items and fight some extra battles. The map also indicates with a larger dot the location that you have to visit to progress the plot. There are lots of edits and the occasional custom art like some cutscenes and the portraits, most of the ripped and edited sprites come from Metal Slug and Streets of Rage. Instead the bars used in the combat interface are identical of the ones used in another cyberpunk game with gunfighters: Alter Aila. But that's another game for another day.

Random Fact: this version of Archtross was abandoned in favor of a Rpgmaker MZ remake. The last news about it were posted here: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/threads/archtross-subtitle-still-undecided.67244/

Final Verdict: it took me about 60-90 minutes to finish this demo, but I enjoyed it a lot. It's a shame that the developer made lots of resources, sprites and enemies that in the end weren't used. This looked like a promising project.
