Raniano, Ryan for friends, is a half elf (father is a human, mother is an elf) that quarrels with his parents, and decides to leave his home after their last argument. The day after, he then joins a trio of wacky adventurers: April, a mage obsessed with cakes, Adomi the snakeblooded human, and their magical talking green cat Treewhiskers. WorldSong is a comedic fantasy adventure (even if it culminates with a dramatic cliffhanger, since it's the demo of a first chapter) about a group of unlikely heroes. The game uses edited sprites, nicely animated battlers, and some really hilarious custom portraits for the main cast. It's also an anti-grinding game since you get no experience point nor levels from the battles (there is only a single map with random battles), and the main adventure consists in a dungeon where all the combat encounters are fixed.

Random Fact: the only way to improve characters, aside for upgrading their equipment, is to answer some trivia questions about the game setting and story, asked by some stone gargoyles. Each correct answer will net some kind of upgrade for the heroes.
