Reminisce: Endangered Memories by UPRC

Eleina is torn between choosing her ambitions to study and become a priestess and staying with her childhood friend Duran and her relatives in the town of Vila.
We play as Duran, and everything starts a morning that his father, the blacksmith Arden, asks him to deliver some dirks he made to the nearby shop. Duran spends his time hunting wolves and searching for cheese thieves, but in the end he will spend his last night with Eleina, since she decided to train as a priestess. But the priests sent to escort Eleina to the priory do not show up, so Duran and Eleina decide to investigate...

Reminisce is a 3 hours demo with nice mapping and colorful characters: the game includes optional quests besides the mandatory ones, exploration and many, many battles. Yes, the maps are probably overcrowded, and the enemies even respawn, but luckily they are often pretty weak and there are many ways to be healed. I like how the characters will also develop some new standard attacks or abilities at 0 mana cost. Visuals are nice, there are lots of custom edits (the facesets from Ogre Battle are cool!), animated battlers and sprites. Unfortunately the demo hasn't a real ending but you will just exhaust the things you can do.

Random Fact: the game is full of little details, for example our protagonist Duran is said to be a heavy sleeper that wakes up only at late morning, and frequently naps. This is also confirmed by Duran's victory stance, where he starts napping!

Final Verdict: a pretty classic fantasy adventure that ends a little too early. It's fun even if the maps are really overcrowded with enemies and while they aren't too tough, sometimes that's a little annoying. But I didn't find other flaws, so I must say this is a polished and well done demo!
